About the Trumansburg Food Pantry: The mission of the Trumansburg Food Pantry is simply to distribute free food to people who are struggling to provide food for themselves or their families. Occasionally, personal care items and cleaning supplies are also available. There are no financial requirements, and currently there are no residential restrictions. If you’re hungry, our volunteer team is here to help! Customers are offered staples like bread, milk, and eggs; plus, many other items such as meat, pasta & sauces, cereal, peanut butter, canned tuna and chicken, butter, cheese, soups, and fresh produce – our menu changes and is sometimes unpredictable depending on availability. Generous community donations allow us to purchase the quality of foods we all enjoy and the quantity of foods needed to serve over 100 individuals in our community. The Trumansburg Food Pantry is supported by an outstanding team of dedicated volunteers, strong community interest, and assistance from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, the United Way of Tompkins County, and our local organizations, grocers and farms. It takes a village, and together we make it happen! For more information contact Donna Holzbaur, Coordinator at 607-279-8257.
