Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts

The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts (TCFA), a cornerstone of arts education and cultural programming for more than 40 years, is pleased to announce that the renovation of our historic facility is near completion. Housed in an 1851 Greek Revival structure—originally a Baptist church and listed on the National Register of Historic Places—the Conservatory features a grand auditorium with a 30-foot ceiling, balcony, and large stage, as well as a multipurpose classroom and arts studio.
For years, this remarkable building has needed essential preservation, modernization, and full accessibility for people with disabilities. We recognized the importance of protecting this cultural landmark and ensuring its future viability, which led the TCFA Board to launch a Capital Campaign. The response from our community, the county, and the state has been incredible!
We are thrilled to announce that our beautiful building is set to reopen in June! To celebrate, we will host a grand ceremony on Thursday, June 18th filled with fun for everyone. Stay tuned for more details—we can’t wait to share this momentous occasion with you!

Celebrating Earth Day, 2026
Local area school children joined us in celebrating Earth Day 2026. Our Earth Day Art Contest invited young artists to explore how they can respond to climate change.
Through drawings, paintings, 3-D art, and graphic design, we encourage students to share their vision for a greener planet. The Earth Day 2026 Art Contest is open to all students in the following categories:
- K – Grade 2
- Grade 3-5
- Grade 6-8
- Grade 9-12
