This course will teach you how to prepare silk for dying, how to build your own frame, and how to use salt in conjunction with French dyes to create movement and texture across the silk.  You will leave the class with a large 11 x 60” silk satin scarf (retails $75) in the color/design of your making.  Additional dying processes will also be presented. Note: students will set the dye at home to create a beautiful finished product.  Detailed written instructions will be provided to both finish the scarf and recreate the process again with confidence. Cost: $140 (all materials included). CayAC members receive a 10% discount using code CAYAC2024 at checkout. Hurry! Space is limited!
