Carol Hockett Lecture: Women in Art
Closing out the Dora Donovan Show, TCFA is presenting an Art Talk with Carol Hockett. Exploring the work of 8 female artists including Nydia Blas and Celia Vasquez Yui. Also including the photography of Cindy Sherman, printmaking of May Stevens, and the sculpture of Chakaia Booker. Join us for this free event.
This lecture is paired with exhibitions planned for display at the Johnson Museum of Art:
“Celia Vasquez Yui: The Council of the Mother Spirits” (August 26- December 10, 2023) and "Nydia Blas: Love, You Came from Greatness” (August 19-January 7, 2024).
