Open Mic Header

Music-makers, music-lovers – this year, join us every fourth Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. for the new open mic at TCFA, beginning Thursday, January 23. Hosted by Lou DiPietro (Louiston), this monthly, acoustic-based open mic welcomes songwriters, musicians, poets, and storytellers of all skill levels who are looking for a stage and both a community and support group of fellow artists. This show is held in the TCFA lower level, and a small PA will be available. Sorry, but due to the space size and wanting to be respectful neighbors, we cannot accommodate drum kits and amplifiers.

Bring your original songs, poems, stories, or whatever else  – flushed-out or works-in-progress – share them in front of an audience, and hang out with some of your fellow rowdy artists. Each performer gets to perform two pieces or 10 minutes max of material. Order of performance is determined by lottery – show up at 7 p.m. and draw your number. Performers who are arriving later are welcome and will still likely have an opportunity to play, depending on the night’s slate of performers. And, of course, this open mic is for the public, too. Come out! Entry for the public is donation-based, so anything you can spare is much appreciated and helps to further TCFA’s programs.
