Gimme Shelter is a documentary of the Rolling Stones’ 1969 US tour and the tragic events that concluded it. Including footage of their concerts and the making of the Sticky Fingers album in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The main focus of the film is the Altamont Speedway incident and it’s aftermath. Other bands include Jefferson Airplane, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Ike and Tina Turner, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and Santana.
Featuring Stones covers by The Flunk School and Jane Doh between the screenings from 6:30 to 8, so plan to stay late or come early to enjoy the live show!
