The Trumansburg Conservatory of Fine Arts (TCFA) is very pleased to announce the return of Michael McNiell, this time with his group resAUnance, in concert on Friday, March 3rd, at 7:30pm. Inspired by the unique sound combination of their instruments, resAUnance began as the trio of vibraphonist/percussionist John Bacon, vocalist Esin Gunduz, and pianist Michael McNeill, at Buffalo’s Pausa Art House in March of 2013. The following year the group collaborated with master brass improvisers Dave Ballou and Adam Unsworth in concerts at Pausa and Villa Maria College, and in June 2014 became a quartet with the addition of ‘cellist Jonathan Golove for a concert as part of the legendary June in Buffalo New Music festival. The group’s rst album, Migration, was released in May 2016 on FMR Records (England). The quartet’s repertoire includes music by each member of the group as well as folksongs from the Balkans, each selection interpreted through the lens of each member’s extensive experience with jazz, classical, and improvised music.
