TCFA is pleased to welcome emerging pianist Benjamin Pawlak to present a pianoBenPawlak2015-25 recital on Friday evening, August 26, 7:30pm. Mr. Pawlak will play on the Bösendorfer Imperial grand in the conservatory auditorium.
Mr. Pawlak, a senior at the Ithaca College School of Music, has studied with numbers of notable teachers, and is twice a winner of IC’s Concerto Competition. He won as a freshman and made his solo debut playing Prokofiev’s First Piano Concerto with the School of Music’s Symphony Orchestra. Earlier this year, he won again, playing Ravel’s Concerto in G Major.
A native of Horseheads, Mr. Pawlak is a piano performance major; he has attended the prestigious Credo Chamber Music Festival at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music for seven years. At TCFA, he will present “Virtuosity Through the Ages,” a program including pieces by Haydn, Ravel, Prokofiev, Bach, and Liszt. Admission will be donation at the door.
