With the generous support of the Community Arts Partnership (CAP), the Trumansburg Conservatory is excited to present Feed Your Head: A festival of four iconic films from the Sixties. Come along and enjoy—beads and headbands optional!
Aimed at grown-ups and older teens, this Friday evening series kicks off with One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, directed by Milos Forman and starring Jack Nicholson, on Friday, February 21, 7:30pm. This movie was only the second in Oscar history to sweep all five major Academy Awards (Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Director and Screenplay). The other acclaimed films in the series are:
• Easy Rider—February 28, 7:30pm; directed by Dennis Hopper
• Blow-Up—March 7, 7:30pm; directed by Michelangelo Antonioni
• Charade—March 14, 7:30pm; directed by Stanley Donen
TCFA stresses that the series is not for children. Cuckoo’s Nest and Easy Rider are rated R; Blow-Up and Charade are not officially rated, but Blow-Up would likely fall into the R category, while Charade would be PG or PG-13.
Thanks to the CAP support, admission is $3. Modest refreshments will be available at the screenings.
